Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Most people don't enjoy this class everyone knows it's a requirement. Professor Rowe has us watch movies from an actress of his choice and we simply review it. We do have book work but we write a summary on it

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use critical thinking skills. I also learned tips on writing a thesis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do research or ask other students what they thought and which class for this subject is best

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Bridgett is a very good teacher. She 's easy to talk to, respects her students, and will explain anything you don't understand. She incorporates class discussions well and integrates many tools of teaching. She has high expectations for her students but her expectations are not unable to be achieved and she gives you the knowledge and the skills to achieve those expectations. Taking this course as an experienced writer of essays and research papers, I noticed that she started from the very basics of format and worked toward getting her students to formulate scholarly thoughts and essays on their own, basically assuming her students have not written essays and research papers before and working from there. The summer class does have a relatively large workload with at least four writing assignments that are a major part of your grade and you will need to keep up with the readings as it is slightly fast paced (it is a summer course and therefore condensed), however class times are used constructively so that most of your work is already done in the classroom with Bridgett. Out of my experiences with other teachers, Bridgett is one of the most passionate about her subject and that reflects in her teaching style. I would highly recommend her class to anyone taking an English course.

    Course highlights:

Coming into this class as an experienced writer, I didn't expect to learn much. However, my expectations soon changed after a day or two in the class. Bridgett covered one of my weakest areas, outlining, and improved my MLA formatting which I didn't even know needed to be fixed. I used critical thinking a lot in this class and by doing this, I expanded my ability to analyze and synthesize other essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For this course I would recommend staying up to date with readings and not procrastinating on writing assignments.Bridgett gives plenty of time for assignments to be done the right way and helps you do them in class so there should t be too much issue turning them in. I can't stress keeping up with the readings enough, as she likes to have daily class discussions and group work using the essays she asks the class to read. If you want to succeed, definitely read!
