Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a very open discussion class. The topics that students may talk about in class could be controversial but its mostly an open floor when giving an opinion about something and the class is very stimulating. The assignments are not terribly challenging even if you do not have a firm grasp on writing skills. The professor is a little tough when it comes to grading but if the student communicates with her and talks with her during office hours then they should not have a problem.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me were having to have met so many different people from all walks of life and hear their views about writing and having the chance to read their papers. In different countries like China and England and on other continents students learn how to write a specific way and when they come to the United States they may find out that how they learned is much different and that they are not used to it. I felt that was a really eye opening experience and I never would have even guessed that writing styles could be so different around the world. I learned how to really push my writing abilities in a time crushing method, (i.e., I had one hour to read one essay and write five short essays in response to that one essay.)

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the writing center and have the workers there look over and critique your paper.
