Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it was a well structured course, and it covers some of the basic information that might have been covered before in maybe an AP Bio/Bio high school class, but in some more dept. Overall you can do very well in this class by just applying yourself.

    Course highlights:

Some of the things that we covered were organisms, cells, class hierarchy, etc. Basically we just took notes and did a class activity by trying to answer the question that was given to us. Another thing that was fun in this class was the lab, in lab we got to dissect, and go outdoors. Basically what we took notes on in class was applied in lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I feel like students can do very well in this class is they take good notes and go through the powerpoint that the professor makes for the all the different topics. On top of that there is a study guid before every exam that is a very good practice for the exam. By these students will for sure get an "A"

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definately recommend, mostly due to the fact that it is essential for biology majors. It gives you an overall perspective of the variety, or different types of biology fields there are and to a point, what that career is like, and if you might like doing that kind of work.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this coarse for me was the different lab opportunities that I got to experience and very much enjoyed. It is a very challenging course to take, so i would not recommend taking it in the summer or with another class that also has a lab section.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You need, no, must read your asigned chapters before arriving to class for starters. you also must study at least 2 hours a day if you want to get a passing grade, though i would recommend something more along the lines of 5 hours a day, in order to fully grasp all of the information, and to be prepared for the exams which are very hard, probably the hardest part of this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I don't only recommend the course because of its material, but also because it is a hands on course, which also allows you to work with others. I think that is fundamental when it comes to a class. Sitting in front of a professor the whole time can get very boring when there is no engagement whatsoever.

    Course highlights:

The labs we did, especially the anatomy or dissecting section. It is quite interesting learning about animals and all there parts and how we are all related in some sort and how others animals relate due to similar characteristics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this course lite, it isn't super stressful. But also have to put the time in because exams are very heavy on material.
