Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a simple yet exciting course, out teacher had us reading this book that you couldn't set down even if you want to.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was definitely the book we had to read and discuss, and when we got to have a Q&A session with my teacher to complete one of our papers. I learned a lot, about basic writing and what teachers look for. He helped me and motivated me a lot on what to do and how to do it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go for it, is isn't too hard and it is definitely forward-thinking. It is a huge stepping stone to your next college classes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend that students should take Professor Brett's class because she is very helpful. She takes the time to tell us what we could improve on in essays. She even gives us the opportunity to redo one of our essays.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to improve on my grammar as well as right different types of essays such as; narrative or profile essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give students is to not wait until the last minute to start an essay. Also, to take advantage of Professor Brett's office hours she is very helpful when it comes to editing essays. Actually read the books she tells us to because her quizzes are not generic questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend English 001A because it is incredibly helpful in building up your writing and comprehension skills. In this course we did a variety of essay types which really broadened my familiarity in pieces of writing and I experienced so many new things in such a short amount of time.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course is when we were assigned an essay that involved us interviewing a person or group of people. This particular project was something I had never done before and I was a little nervous to be an interviewer but it turned out to be one of my favorite experiences.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to anyone who wants to take up this course is to allow yourself enough time to really put your best work forward. The more effort you put in, the more you will gain knowledge and grade-wise.
