Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a good class! You really need to practice to actually learn the language but he started every class with 10 minutes where you practice speaking in Spanish with a classmate. That was helpful. Definitely took work to do well but he was a good teacher and our class worked as a team to have fun and learn the language.

    Course highlights:

Spanish 2 built on the fundamentals learned in Spanish 1. We went over present and past as well as plenty of vocabulary words. The trickiest part is once you practice learning the words, to actually sting them together in comfortable and cohesive statements.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely try to pair up with a couple people from class. You can study together and just practice the most current vocabulary and conjugations that he went over. Don't just do the homework 10 minutes before class! Give it some time to think it through so you can actually learn it.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

He is one of the more strict professors in the Spanish department here at UCR, but you will still learn everything you need to learn. This course requires a lot of studying and extra time as there are many assignments and exams.

    Course highlights:

I learned many different new tenses of verbs and how to conjugate them whereas in Spanish 1 we only used one type of conjugation. Also learned many new vocabulary including food, travel and vacation, and age.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be lazy and just do the bare minimum, but study with all the extra hours you have for this course. You want to utilize this course and make the most out of it as the language department at UCR is very demanding and will teach you a lot.
