    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

GEO4 was not only an interesting topic, learning about natural hazards and the planet we live on, but Corrie Neighbors' passion and spunk for the topic made the class a lot more fun and interactive. Though it's a large lecture with a couple hundred students, you actually learn, as long as you keep up with the notes and weekly material (assignments and quizzes). It's an easy A as long as you put in some effort.

    Course highlights:

You learn about natural hazards and disasters (earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning, etc.). There are weekly assignments and quizzes that are simple as long as you read the textbook. Two midterms, but lowest scored one gets dropped. One final, which is cumulative. Huge extra credit opportunity as well!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all the weekly assignments and quizzes (online) as well as having 10 Piazza posts by the end of the quarter. Lowest scored assignment and quiz gets dropped. Don't BS the final project!
