    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course was challenging and it would probably be easier to take a writing across the curriculum class, I feel that English 1C refreshed the way I wrote. I haven't taken an English class since English 1B in freshman year. This course really challenged my writing skills at a higher level.

    Course highlights:

In my specific class, we focused on super heroes and society. I learned that many issues that we face in society affects the types of TV shows or movies that appear during this time. I was extremely intrigued to dig deeper into how society reacts to world events and creating a need for a "superhero" to appear in their lives.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Dig deep into what you're learning and make sure to stay on track and on top of assignments and readings. Go to office hours for the teacher/professor to look over your papers. Participation was required in this class.
