    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is an overload of material. It starts as a dense review of intermediate-level genetics, and then delves very deep into complex tangents. The material learned from lecture to lecture is immense so it is very difficult to retain.

    Course highlights:

We learned about Mendelian inheritance, genotypes and phenotypes, chromosomes of specific species, deletion maps, mutations. gamete mapping, breeding patterns, different chromosomal syndromes, meiosis and mitosis, and much much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to study all the material week by week. This is not a class you can just take and coast by in. The work in class should be coupled with hard work outside of class via independent study. It is always good to use the practice tests to quiz yourself on what you know and what you need to learn more .

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great class and you learn more than you think you would.

    Course highlights:

I learned that even if a person isn't too great at a subject in high school, college changes your perspective on a subject because of how much more intense it is.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up with the work and don't fall behind. He gives a lot of course notes so read over them because they help.
