    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend because he takes notes on how to improve your writing rather than only grade it.

    Course highlights:

We discussed and wrote about the pros and cons of competition, which concluded to being a really bad characteristic, it was fun to hear and tell our stories.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Revise your essays! Be thorough, add enough detail but not too much that you start going off topic.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a standard English class that you must take if you fail your English placement exam (an essay that identifies your skills on writing them). The course requires you to write five essays within the ten week instruction. The course is not taught by a professor, my instructor ,Mark, may have just been a recent college graduate. He teaches basic grammar rules, formatting, and structure. The class is designed to help you learn how to write a proper college essay.

    Course highlights:

This course was designed to teach students the correct way of writing a college grade essay. Each week, the course would consist of generated discussions about a specific essay. At the end of every other week, we were required to write an essay ourselves in response to a previously discussed essay.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write essays. Also, if you're an incoming freshman who failed the placement exam it's not the end of the world. I am a creative writing major, and I failed the essay placement exam. The beauty of college courses is that you will never feel as though you are behind. I passed English 004 with a "B" and this upcoming quarter I'm going to be taking English 1A with my friend who did pass the placement exam. Everybody is on the same pace if you enroll in enough credits. Don't be discouraged and be sure to try and learn from English 004.
