Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Just do the homework. Doing the homework makes the course easier, even if you don't have to turn it in.
We blasted through many reactions, ranging from alcohols, ethers, epoxides, to carboxylic acids and carboxylic acid derivatives. We also learned about aldehydes and ketones, and how the carbon on a carbonyl is electrophilic whereas on a carboxylic acid it's relatively stable due to resonance. There's more, but it's way too much to put here.

Advice for students:
Make sure to have the textbook and the manual with the answers. Do the homework problems, then use the manual to check the answers. Make sure you understand what you are doing. For spectra, just look up mixed spectra online. The book is pretty useless with practice problems on spectra.
