    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a tough course but Lavelle really teaches you everything and gives you so many resources to aide in learning

    Course highlights:

I loved the organic chemistry naming at the very end of the class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

DO all the homework. Practice is what will help you succeed in this class. You cannot just study. You must apply your knowledge.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I give it a three because you must take 14B if you are pretty much any Life Science Major. The problem with this course with Dr. Lavelle is his organization. His course reader is the absolute worst and his exams are extremely difficult. He provides an amazing amount of support for students, though

    Course highlights:

His TA's were amazing! Specifically, Dane Stanfield helped his students a ton when preparing for exams.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to keep up with the assigned homework problems and readings, it will make your life so much easier!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Its a tough class with a very conceptual professor. You're encouraged to think outside the bounds of chemistry, and take a broader view of processes around you.

    Course highlights:

Still taking the course; but so far, so good! Tough, but again, many opportunities are available to achieve success.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY. Always practice and never get complacent with the amount of knowledge you have regarding a certain topic. There are a lot of curveballs thrown at you, so always be prepared!
