Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Generally Quite Nice – The early mornings are a bit chilly, but the temperature warms up around noon to afternoon. At night however, temperatures are very very cold. There seems to be no pattern to how humid or dry the days are, and those days tend to vary significantly.

    Course highlights:

There are multiple dorms on campus centered in one location, which we call the Hill. They are somewhat far away from campus, and the farthest dorm buildings (top of the Hill) cause residents to walk an extra 5 minutes compared to those at the bottom of the Hill.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The halls are very social (sometimes to where it's hard to concentrate), but the plazas are nice and quiet. The dining halls/eateries are great, although most are located in the center of the Hill, which makes it a little inconvenient to get to for residents who don't live there.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was engaging, informative, and fun. Professor Pirolini is a wonderful professor and a very funny person.

    Course highlights:

Every week we watched a movie and then discussed its cinematic and cultural impact as well as film technique. I'm a science major but as a GE this class was easy and incredibly interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to every class and discussion and keep your notes together and the class will be incredibly easy for you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Campus is diverse and there's quite a lot of stuff to do, but getting classes is a pain. The first enrollment and second enrollment times are randomly assigned and most of the time you won't be able to get all the classes you wanted.

    Course highlights:

Classes are huge and most of the time your professor won't even know your name. Besides academic stuff, trekking to class and back to the dorms is awful due to the hills and stairs.Love it. As a transfer I am dorming, and I expected dorms to be very tiny and difficult.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As a transfer, it is pretty hard to adjust to the quarter system. Not only that, everyone is super competitive so you really have to work in order to receive an A. For humanities majors, they don't offer a lot of hands on experience.
