    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a very straight to the point course. Show up to lectures and pay attention to the slides. One midterm and one final make up the entire grade.

    Course highlights:

No gimmicks. Studying and showing up to class got me an A. It provided a basic understanding of the American government structure that is required for upper division classes. Students are given a choice of taking a final test or submit a research paper. Both were doable.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a week before the midterm and final. There is not that much to study though.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great professor, engaging and very clearly explains concepts.

    Course highlights:

Initially I had assumed this class would be a rehash of high school government class, however, the professor offered insight into concepts I had learned in the past and helped explain why these concepts were important for life and not just taking a test.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture. While it may seem that the information provided on the slides (which are posted online) will be sufficient, they are not. Exams will reference topics touched upon in lecture. Exams are not super difficult but can become that if you don't go to lecture or don't have a friend who does and takes great notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because his test material reflected exactly what we learned in class and through our homework assignments. Nothing came as a surprise.

    Course highlights:

I reviewed some things I learned from American History and Government in high school and learned about it in depth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's one of the easiest classes you will ever take in the department. As a matter of fact you don't even need to be a polisci major to master the material. If you simply have an interest, that'll be fine.
