Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was very interesting. The professor is very funny. The class is about two hours long, but it never feels like it.

    Course highlights:

He teaches a lot of things you wouldn't expect to learn about. How people interact with others, with themselves, and with the world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study from the very beginning. It will make things easier later on. Start everything early. He gives you everything on the syllabus, so get started early.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was during this course I fell in love with Communication Studies. The professor is hilarious and very knowledgeable. His lectures are in a sort of essay form and are easy to follow along.

    Course highlights:

This class covers ALOT. From communication on a person to person level all the way up to mass media forms and the effect it has on society. The professor is very unbiased but made me feel like I could change the world through media.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course has extremely interesting material but a lot of work. If you break down the work and do a little every day it's not so overwhelming!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the best intro course I have taken at UCLA. It is very challenging but very interesting and a great preview to the comm studies major

    Course highlights:

The first half of the course (before the midterm) is all about interpersonal communication and its very applicable to your everyday life. You'll start to really see people in a new way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO THE READINGS! You cant do well if you dont do the assigned readings and skimming them does not help you on the exams!
