Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Lavelle is a remarkable teacher and provides his students with ample resources to keep them on track with the course.

    Course highlights:

CHEM 14A focuses primarily on quantum world chemistry, molecular structure, and chemical equilibrium.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep on track and use the resources available to you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because she's a really good professor who loves working with the students. She devotes a lot of her time to review sessions, office hours, and reaching out to students. So if you ever need extra help, you can always reach out to her.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot through her lectures, using ALEKS, and her problem sets. The major highlight is she makes you do these previews in ALEKS before lectures so they are more engaging.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study hard and ask for help when you don't quite understand because you can get lost fast!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Lavelle is more calculations based while Scerri is more conceptual. As long as you understand the concepts, you should get an A with Scerri, so pay attention in class.

    Course highlights:

Scerri really breaks everything down and makes it so easy to understand the confusing topics. He also showed us some reactions in class which was pretty cool.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every class and rewatch every lecture. Don't move on until you understand each concept or you will get lost.
