    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I love Statistics, but Dr. Juana Sanchez left me hating it. She has been the most incompetent teacher I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I'm sure she's brilliant, a wonderful researcher. But she is not a teacher. Keep her doing the work she does well, but UCLA should strongly consider her removal from any rotations teaching. She did not communicate with her TA's well so they were left as much in the dark as her students were. Her TA's didn't even grade the work of their students, so the TA's with their hands behind their backs couldn't do anything about the learning of their own students. It was miserable. Her lectures were littered with mistakes and the little that she did teach was illegible to anyone unfamiliar with Statistics. She expected people to come into an introductory course with knowledge we were not meant to have. She is unempathetic and, frankly, rude to her students. Even when you go to ask her questions, she responds in the perfect way to make you feel absolutely stupid. Worst teacher I have ever had.

    Course highlights:

Everything I learned from this course I learned from an AP Statistics teacher who I had to return to because this professor was so wildly incompetent. I got an A in the course, but only because of a high school teacher and his generosity with his free time. I never would have gotten that grade without prior knowledge and outside assistance.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this class with her. The course itself is easy, if you're coming right out of high school with freshly mastered AP Statistics knowledge then go for it. But this woman will bore you to death with ill-prepared lectures and a childish attendance rule.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

i enjoyed having the variety of colleges and access available to me. knowing that i am able to review colleges is very helpful. the university of California-Los Angeles was one of my top colleges to choose from. i really like their academic studies and their cultural diversity.

    Course highlights:

the application fee is a bit high.. higher than other schools. Only career office provide help, you still need to apply, prepare yourself. That's common, but sometimes you have to apply for multiple positions, and that take times.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The career center provides excellent help for students by providing in person help and workshops.I feel safe on campus and have seen UC police efficiently provide safety especially last year when a professor was killed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course as it sheds light on many issues regarding data management and presentations and the flaws in how we interpret them. The information and skill set to be gained from this class is applicable to multiple fields and is a priceless opportunity when compared to the leniency of the grading as well.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were surely the real life examples of how data can be portrayed to mislead the masses, and how important data management techniques could serve to alleviate many issues faced in several communities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice students to attend all lectures at the very least, as well as labs and discussions. I would also recommend completing all labs and homework assignments ahead of time.
