Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course, especially those taking it as a prerequisite for the English major.

    Course highlights:

I got into some really fascinating and stimulating discussions evolving from texts that I thought didn't hold much beneath the surface. I often found myself engaged in philosophical and intellectual conversations about the very nature of art, language, and literature. Very exciting. It was definitely a great introduction to writing papers in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to stay on top of the reading, but don't stress about it too much (this, of course, depends on your professor!). Go to office hours and ask for help on your papers - it shows your commitment to presenting your best work!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The structure of the class was fantastic! Most of the reading we had were current and applicable to everyday life. We also watched several films that were very interesting. Overall, the professor is wonderful and I would love to take the class again if I could.

    Course highlights:

The seminar set-up of the class was very helpful in that it strengthened my analysis skills.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise future students to definitely read ALL the books. I am sure you could get away without reading, but reading makes the class more enriching.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a wonderful course, and a great introduction to critically reading and writing. I am a Neuroscience major, but this course helped me to unlock realms of my brain that not even my professor could explain.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were group discussions on assigned texts, and making modern adaptations of those readings.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Look for all that are interesting, beautiful and/or though-provoking.
