Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I did not do very well in Chemistry 14A, and that was my fault. Dr. Lavelle provides all the tools necessary to pass this class with flying colors, including hours upon hours of office hours, a 24/7 online forum, and past tests and resources. The only reason I didn't do well was because I didn't utilize these resources enough. If you want a teacher that cares about your understanding of the material, take this class.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of chemistry that I didn't understand in high school. I also learned the importance of self-sufficiency and time management. Because Dr. Lavelle provides you with all the tools necessary to succeed, it is up to you to make your time worth it, which is reflected in your grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

People may tell you not to take Lavelle's courses, but see for yourself. He is not a bad teacher, and it isn't hard to ace his class. You need to see if his teaching style works for you.

His accent makes you listen more during lecture, sometimes I wasn't sure what he was saying but, but he is pretty funny sometimes and made good analogies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do all the practice tests he provides in the course reader and any other ones you can find
