    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

His tests aren't much more difficult than the practice problems within the course material or from previous tests. He also shares most of the relevant study resources on his website so there is no need to go to other sources. Although he requires a modeling kit all students will find that it is incredibly helpful with learning organic chemistry.

    Course highlights:

Not only did he instruct on organic chemistry he also provided historical background regarding organic chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to the study tip in the beginning of the course reader. It will prepare you for lectures so the material is easier to understand and it will be useful after lecture so that you retain the information. Use your modeling kit, having a 3D model of the molecules is incredibly helpful for identifying and manipulating.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Unless it's needed for your major, I wouldn't really suggest taking this class. Organic chemistry is not an easy subject. Lecture wasn't engaging: the professor would just talk about the PowerPoint slides that are already in the (expensive) Lecture Supplement. Hardinger says that the Thinkbook is necessary to get a good grade in this class, but I never used it (and saved $50) and still did fine. Definitely do the practice exams since they are absolutely reflective of the actual exams in terms of content and format.

    Course highlights:

The material covered in this class will appear on the MCAT. If you're planning on taking the MCAT, this course would help you prepare.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The model kit is not necessary. The Thinkbook is not necessary. Do as many practice exams as possible. Memorize definitions.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Most people have to take this class because it's a requirement, definitely recommend taking it with Hardinger. It is a hard class, but if you put in the work it pays off.

    Course highlights:

You learn about the basics of Organic Chemistry. You learn a ton about resonance, aromaticity, bonds etc.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the Lecture supplement and memorize the big concepts on the slides. Do every single practice test that you can get your hands on. Hardinger repeats questions and the more problems you do, the more your understanding improves.
