Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Langdon is a very passionate professor, very knowledgable of the material you will learn in this class. Not a boring class, and is very insightful as you will be learning about ~4000 years of history.

    Course highlights:

You will be learning about the Near East, Greece, Rome, and the heirs of the Roman Empire, namely Arab Islam, Western Europe, and Byzantium. As an engineering major, this class has given me an immense newfound appreciation for history, and provides great historical significance for my major. Amazing class. Very difficult to pull off 4000 years of history in one quarter, but Dr Langdon does it without ay hiccups or flaws.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the readings, and conduct good research for your paper. There's only one paper for this class, but it cannot be completed in one night, so do spend some time on it throughout the quarter. Langdon requires you to cite every piece of information that is not your own, so it will take you more time than you think. The final exam is completely based off your readings and lecture, so again, do your readings, and do NOT skip lecture for this class.
