    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is super fun and Professor Kennedy is very helpful and nice. It is quite difficult but as long as you do all the reading and pay attention in class, it will be fine and I have learned a lot from this class.

    Course highlights:

I am not a biology major student but I am quite interested so I chose this class. There are so many biological term and talk about the correlation between culture and diseases, human evolution and disease etc. Very interesting class that you should not miss.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Because there are so many difficult terms, I strongly recommend you to check up the definitions if you are not familiar with the words also, all the readings are important, you don't have to spend like few hours on one reading but a least skim through them.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was the hardest class I took at UCLA, but the most rewarding. You really have to earn the knowledge, but it's super cool and memorable. You actually have to show up every day, take good notes, and put in plenty of study hours, but Prof. Kennedy is super accessible for office hours and it helps to study with other students.

    Course highlights:

We learned a lot in 10 weeks. Lots of anatomy, osteology, ancient human cultural practices from across the globe, and lots of details of infectious diseases, surgery techniques, and hard tissue preservation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! But go to class, study hard, form a study group, do the reading, and generally work hard.
