Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course to anyone who finds the evolution of our speech across cultures interesting.

    Course highlights:

I thought the course was so interesting, you learn things about the way that we have been speaking since we were little and learn why we do that and it really opens up your eyes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all of the readings, do not fall behind because you will struggle. She is so kind, but you need to do your readings.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is not homework heavy and the tests are very reasonable if you have done all the readings.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning how language is not something we do but that it's deeply rooted in all aspects of our culture and daily life. My favorite part was the topic on child language acquisition.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The readings will help to understand the lectures and homework. Be prepared to do a research project at the end of the quarter.
