Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very interesting and manageable as long as a decent amount of time is spent studying.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned about the probability of how certain genes may be passed on from parent to child and some abnormalities that may exist. This course was very math heavy especially in the beginning of the course however conceptual understanding was necessary to do the mathematical problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to do well in this course, a lot of practice is necessary. I would suggest doing all of the textbook problems as well as old midterm/final questions. Reviewing over lecture slides is also very helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class because of the way it's structured. It's a flipped classroom which means you are required to watch podcasts before going to the lecture and then in the class basically it's all clicker questions it's kind of like you are doing homework in class. You kind of have this idea of what to expect before going to class and going to the class really helps understanding the material.

    Course highlights:

This class is really different from other life sciences core series. This is more of problem solving rather than just memorizing concepts. In this class memorization won't help but it really requires the understanding of the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every class and make sure you participate because personally I felt I learnt way more doing the clicker questions.
