    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought the professor made the subject material relatively more challenging than it needed to be. There were very few real world examples, and that made it a bit hard to contextualize.

    Course highlights:

Statistics is generally interesting, but learning probability was probably the highlight of this course for me.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't fall behind on your studies; because the course is relatively dense it can be hard to catch up.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Overall the class was good, relatively easy homework assignments, pretty easy midterm, and lectures were helpful. However, the final exam was much more difficult than the rest of the course. The average on the midterm was around an 86 if I remember correctly while the average on the final was somewhere in the 60s. Professor Sheng posted several practice tests to prepare for both the midterm and final, and while the practice midterms were very helpful, the practice finals did not adequately prepare us for the difficulty level of the final.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about statistics and Professor Sheng as well as the T.A.s were very kind and willing to help. In addition, Professor Sheng posted several past exams and these were very helpful for the midterm.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend studying extra hard to prepare for the final. Do not expect it to be the same difficulty level as the homework and midterm. Also, do the homework early as some assignments can be quite time consuming. If you don't find your T.A. very helpful then go to another section!

I don't know many people who love the material.. but great professor if you need to take it!
