    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very interesting course. You learn a lot, however, it is a very difficult class with a lot of memorization. But I believe it is worth the effort because Professor Schein is a very good professor.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about the eye!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind and make sure to go over lecture notes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Some people have hated this course because of how difficult it was but I recommend taking it with Dr. Jentsch! He teaches this class with such ease and simplicity that it really makes you appreciate the complexities of behavioral neuroscience.

    Course highlights:

Drug interactions and how drugs affect the mind were the highlight of this course

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the lectures as they build on one another.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in neuroscience, especially how brain functions relate to behavior, you will find this class very interesting. You will learn how the somatosensory and motor systems work, as well as what brain areas are involved in fear, memory, and even facial perception.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me recognize all the primary functions of each part of the brain, and these concepts are further reinforced when you take psych 116 (the behavioral neuroscience lab).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Memorize everything on the slides. Also try to understand the larger brain/body mechanisms, which makes it easier to understand smaller details. You really have to put a lot of effort into this class, but the information is very interesting and you will be a better psychobiology/neuroscience student for it.
