    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only because it is apart of the Nutrition & Culinary Arts, but this class gives you a clear understanding of the organ systems of the human body.

    Course highlights:

As an undergraduate student we were allowed to go to the gross anatomy lab to investigate these organ systems on a cadaver. Being able to witness this in person was most impressive and allowed the students to see the big picture not just histology slides and models.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the syllabus thoroughly and make sure to do all reading assignments prior to the beginning of a new lecture. Complete the objectives prior to the start of the lecture. This will give you a basis of what the lecture will focus on, so you can put more emphasis on the material that will be included on the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Rude is a fantastic professor. He makes anatomy come alive and approaches a large and daunting subject with minimalism. He takes you right to the core of a definition and takes the time to ensure that the class understands a principle before he moves on. He genuinely cares about the success of the course.

    Course highlights:

I have never taken a meditative approach to studying until this class. The professor led us in meditation before exams and had us keep a homework/contemplative log during the semester so that we could see our own progress when approaching studying. Anatomy skills and life skills all wrapped up in one course. You can't ask for more than that!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the material and make sure you understand the micro elements in the scheme of the macro elements. Don't get lost. Review, review, review.
