    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tamkun's tests can be difficult if you are not good at memorization of random facts and therefore for people like me who are better with formulaic memory you must study more than in other general biology classes.

    Course highlights:

This course was helpful in preparation for the general biology portion of the MCAT and for the next course in the series as it taught you basic biology you needed for the upper division and later classes.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you read the book and keep up on the notes and lectures. Try not to skip or miss any classes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great professor! Very straight forward. Do the work and you will be fine.

    Course highlights:

Although this course isn't taken as seriously as the 3quarter series, the tests were still challenging because you need to memorize a ton of arbitrary material to get an A. I did like his lectures. Simple and filled with fun facts about nutrition. He was very clear and is a nice, easy-going guy.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Bowman's tests require you to recall a lot of specific information. It's all on his study guide. Just start early, and you will be fine.
