    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Simon is a fantastic teacher. He livens his lectures with humorous yet meaningful stories that entertain and instruct. He goes the extra mile for his students, making himself available for hours after class has ended. During Lab, he is very active, devoting equal attention to all of his students, and ensuring that everyone is participating and understanding what they are doing. He is a tough grader, but makes sure that his students have all the resources necessary to be successful.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from this class that it's hard to sum up the highlights. This is the class that made me consider becoming a chemistry teacher. I learned a great deal about the structures, properties, and histories of a vast number of chemicals and other elements. I also learned a lot about how science is studied in Great Britain, as Dr. Simon had been educated in that country. The one standout moment was the first time I encountered a problem I didn't think I could solve. Dr. Simon gave me a bit of information, just enough to get my brain working, then stood back with an expectant look on his face. I made the connection, and everything made sense. Then he just smiled and nodded.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you have a problem, don't be afraid to approach the teacher. He is actually there to teach you.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend this course because at first I thought this course would be pretty hard for me since I've never taken a Chemistry class before but actually it isn't that hard! All thanks to my teacher, Erica, because she made sure that all of her students understand the subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how to calculate atoms, ionic and molecular compounds, acids and bases, solutions and many more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the homework that the teacher gave you and you're good to go!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class as it teaches the basics of chemistry and links health to chemistry for better and easy understanding. The teacher encourages the student to attend the class and do good in quizzes by offering 5 points extra credits.

    Course highlights:

The lab class is so much fun, but pay a close attention to the procedure and be a good observer to be able to discuss the procedure as there will be a discussion after each lab

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the chapter more than once, so you can recall the information in quizzes and lab class. There will be a lot of quizzes and tests so don't wait till the last minute to study the chapter. There will be practice question at the end of each chapter it improves your skills in problem solving question.
