    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I liked poetry as a hobby and something to pass the time but after taking this course I feel like it could be much more. I want to continue studying poetry beyond this course.

    Course highlights:

I gained basis rules of poetry and more! From reading poetry from professors at the school to widely known poets such as Shakespeare, we studied their words. We looked beyond the text and tried to analyze the feeling and emotions. As our professor said, "Try writing poetry as showing instead of telling." For our final we took our 5 favorite written poems to present how much we learned this quarter. It was a delightful course and I highly recommend it even of poetry might not be your favorite.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start on the assignments as soon as you get them. Then throughout the week you can think and be inspired by the assignments instead of rushing at them in the last seconds before they are due.
