    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The professor is absolutely fantastic!!! She is extremely open and teaches in a dynamic and informational manner that pulls you in and helps you to be engaged throughout the lecture. The tests are reasonably easy so long as you know the material and she makes you feel like she is there to help.

    Course highlights:

I love the lectures! The material is absolutely fantastic (but that's subjective to the individual).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to intersperse your studies and get to know your peers

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's pretty great for a fully online class. I was able to work ahead and in good time. The online textbook was awesome too (and free).

    Course highlights:

It was nice because you don't need to buy anything for the course since everything is online. Also there's four units and once you finish one, that info won't show up on another test which is nice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You could do the entire unit in like two days and as long as you pay attention and take notes, its not too hard. All the info comes from the textbook, and the readings are very short and straight forward.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because the professor makes it very easy, interesting, and fun to learn. She is also very approachable when you have a question, or if you want to show her a fossil or a cool rock. She loves her subject and it shows through in her teaching. And she will do everything she can to help you if you ask for help. So if you're at Edmonds Community College looking for a science class to take, take Geology 101 with Maria Kelly!

    Course highlights:

I loved the hands on lab on the different kinds of rocks, igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic because it linked to volcanic activity and earthquakes, which are things you learn in the lecture part of class. Plus I think volcanos and earthquakes are cool so I had fun learning about those two things.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If science is not your thing, and you struggle with it, I would recommend this class because the professor will help you out a lot if you seek help. Also she makes this course much easier to get through and understand versus some other science classes. Even if science is your thing then this class will be even more easy for you and very fun.
