Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is given the opportunity to take it. In this course, we have great discussions and debates about subjects that are actually relevant to us in this day and age. We are encouraged to think for ourselves and to find reason and evidence to back them up. Our teacher found a great balance between interactive work and memorization to keep us on track. If you are willing to work hard and participate, then this course can really make a difference in your english education.

    Course highlights:

This AP course was very beneficial to me. I had an amazing teacher who encouraged differing opinions and free thought. We learned how to write in many different styles and genres as we began to find our niche. Through this course I have developed a love of correct grammar along with an annoyance of incorrect grammar that will most likely follow me for the rest of my life. This english course taught me more in a semester than any on my other classes taught me in a year.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, I would recommend taking notes throughout the year and saving them for your final, speaking up in class (the best way to learn is to participate), and managing your time wisely. Anyone can be successful in an AP course if they are willing to work hard at it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

you know how when you're passionate about something and when you try to argue for it, you sound dumb and angry? This class teaches you to build your essays and arguments in such a way that you sound well-informed and reasonable

    Course highlights:

The discussions and content of the textbook were controversial and required thought and careful consideration when presenting your disposition. It makes you have an opinion (or fake having an opinion) so that you can write about it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the homework, but you can BS a lot of the assignments as long as you present them right

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is helpful for college, although students tend to get lost in the Macbeth unit.

    Course highlights:

Practice writing - essays and assignments - was the most useful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate. Prepare for presentations, essays, and tests. Get a Kaplan study book and practice the tests.
