    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is pretty difficult. That being said, a good grade is achievable with some effort. The professor was absolutely amazing and had extensive knowledge about the subject. Her lectures were engaging and interesting to listen to. You will be learning a LOT of information about the human body in this class so be diligent in keeping up with the coursework. I had an extremely hard time keeping up with the coursework in the beginning, but I went into office hours a couple of times and the professor was great with providing study and time management advice.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned the basics about human physiology. Topics learned included the nervous system, endocrine system and muscles, just to name a few. I also picked up helpful study habits that have helped me with my other courses such as how to manage my time, how to take detailed notes, and how to study outside of class more effectively.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every lecture as the professor bases the exams on the lecture. Although she says you need the book, you really don't, as long as you take good notes in class. Don't cram for the exams, it may work for some classes, but there is FAR too much information provided per lecture to do this. You will not do well if you study the night before the exam; at the very least, you need a week to prepare. Also, if you are struggling, don't hesitate to go see the professor, she has some great study tips and will help you work through the issues you are having. Be proactive!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor is an incredibly knowledgable woman who gives real-life examples that make a difficult subject easy to learn.

    Course highlights:

This course was one of my first "real" college classes, so one of the greatest benefits I got was learning my own study tactics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

draw lots of pictures. and most definitely go to office hours.
