    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In order to be successful in this course, you must be willing to put in hours upon hours of mastering the material. Test/quiz questions are meant to confuse you.

    Course highlights:

Lectures are very detail-heavy, but the professor is more than willing to provide any extra explanations that are needed. You just have to make the effort of keeping up with all of information & packets, in order to really know what it is you need help with.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bottomline, this course is no joke. If you don't put in the effort, you will not be successful. I learned this the hard way, but it is not impossible to pass.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great introduction to biology. Since the course is specifically geared for science majors, the topics are covered in greater detail than a normal non-major science course. Professor Corl is extremely passionate about the course and he really is invested in helping each student succeed. He also brings such an amazing energy to the class, that even at 8 AM, the class is exciting.

    Course highlights:

This biology class really serves as a good foundation for any biology major. Major topics, such as Ecology, DNA and genes, Reproduction and Development, Biochemistry, are all taught in depth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed in the class, its extremely important that you go to the lectures. Corl goes over every topic in-depth and his lecture notes are the best way to study for his quizzes and exams. Also, if you are not a science major, or are just looking for a class to fulfill a science credit, I would not suggest this course. The course is designed for those in a science major or those who show great interest in biology, so if you do not like biology, this course will be overwhelming.
