Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor teaches you beyond the coursework and tells you of his own experiences. You learn the real life psychology.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the course we learned about human behavior, emotions, the physical brain, the difference between the right and left side of the brain, different psychological diseases, and the location of different emotions and reactions in the brain.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to every class and be prepared. Read the chapter before class because you'll discuss it the entire class, so no time to read during class. Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone and interact with different people. You have to be willing to work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course extremely interesting! Dr. Walraven is an amazing teacher, he definitely challenges you mentally but he helps you understand the coursework on another level. He is a funny, interesting teacher and he makes the classes interesting too.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of psychology from the book work, but the information I absorbed the most is when he talked about his career and the different work he has done. He shared with us hid experience with psychology and formed a personal connection making it easier to remember.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The class is fun and you can get an A, but you have to read the section and do the work or you will fall behind fast. The tests are hard however, so read the chapters in detail.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives students an opportunity to learn about others and themselves. It's important to understand why people do what they do and how their brains work to get along and go through everyday life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was learning about the brain because I am going into a Nursing major, so I had a connection within the text. I learned that dopamine is produced in the brain which gives the person a sense of pleasure. When you do something that makes you happy, your brain releases dopamine. Some say that certain things are not addictive, which they may not be, but the feeling is addictive.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed you must make flash cards or another study tool and study them. You must attend class each week and fill out the questionare forms. It helps to do the extra credit vocabulary words- which can add up to 14% on your exam!
