    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It definitely built on what I learned in Spanish 1, but it also challenged me with new information, vocabulary, and social situations. Languages are not easy for me, but this course broke the lessons into manageable bits so that I wasn't overwhelmed with new information.

    Course highlights:

I honestly enjoyed the bits of history about the different cultures and the history. I also liked learning about how shopping is different in markets versus regular stores - this is something I haven't been exposed to at all in the US. I also enjoyed learning about the different historical figures - political and artist - that influenced the different Spanish-speaking countries.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take a deep breath and be prepared to learn MUCH more than Spanish 1. There are many assignments - some little, some that take a lot of time and research - but you can do the small ones and go back to do more detailed research later. Instructor is VERY helpful, especially when you can't quite grasp the pronunciation of some words even after listening to the recordings several times.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I like it because it actually teaches you a good amount of vocabulary and kind of pushes you to actually study with your off time.

    Course highlights:

The vocabulary that it taught you was monumental and was extremely constructive.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study in your off time. Spanish isn't something that just clicks. You HAVE to study.
