Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This was a challenging, but fun course, and having everything I needed for the labs made it easier to complete the required assignments. Instead of having dull assignments, the class made you think about the topics in each unit and the variety of the assignments kept the class interesting at all times.
I enjoyed the acids-bases lab the most because I had a bit of an over-reaction when trying to neutralize the acid but that's just because it was funny. The last unit - nuclear chemistry - was the biggest challenge for me, but it forced me to look at incidents in our past and really look at how I felt about the use of nuclear power. I liked the fact that it didn't just feed you the answers, but allowed you to think on your own and include your opinion when discussing the lab results.

Advice for students:
The best way to succeed in this course is to stay on track and do each assignment in order. Some of the assignments build on the previous ones, so if you decide to skip a writing assignment, you might not have the research that you need for the next assignment. Never give up if you are having trouble! Ms. Phillips does respond to her emails so if you have a question, write to her! Even if it's not specific to the class - I broke my arm and wasn't able to do anything for a while - let her know and she will work with you to find ways you can still stay on track.
