    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP courses are hard, however, they help to teach necessary skills that will not only help throughout the remainder of high school, but college as well. It helps build time management skills as well as study tools that will be beneficial for many years to come.

    Course highlights:

My favorite parts of the course was learning about all the different presidents. It was cool to see how the country was run and the events that occurred so many years ago. There were so many opportunities to make other cultural and spiritual connections with the facts learned in everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always use the opportunities you are given. While the course load will be hard, always strive to learn as much as you can through the readings and assignments. Use your time wisely, and plan ahead. You will not do your best in this course if you procrastinate. Time management is key in AP classes. Also, make sure that you actively participate in class activities and discussions as this will help to increase your understanding of the material. You only get out what you put in, so take every opportunity you can to do your best.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Many times AP courses intimidate students simply because of the work load and rigor. Taking that step provides a deeper and stronger education as well as prepares you for the class style colleges will have in the future.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned not only about the United States history, but also how to open my mind and see the bigger picture. By eliminating tunnel vision, it helps to comprehend and analyze topics on a much deeper level.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course. It will be a challenge, but there is always room for growth. Taking the easiest course load is not always beneficial. While you don't want to over work yourself and burn out, it is also important to push yourself to always do better. The harder you work the greater the results will be in the end.
