Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Farrell is a great teacher that helps you with the process of gaining confidence to talk in front of a group of people. She is understanding and knows when to push you and when to ease up. She keeps the class engaged and the material interesting.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course is that I gained confidence talking in front of a group of people and being comfortable making eye contact with my classmates. I learned how to prepare for a speech and the most effective way to keep the class engaged.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to make sure to prepare for speeches and recite your speech several times before you present. It is important to know your material and be able to make eye contact with your classmates.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would really recommend this class. Normally Summer classes are a real drag, but Dr. Borchard made everything real fun and engaging. I was actually looking forward to going to class because she made it such a positive environment. I was scared of taking risks because i wasn't scared of making a mistake in her class.

    Course highlights:

This was a public speaking class, so I learned about presenting my self to other, preparing a speech, and talking in front of other people. Dr. Borchard gave pretty clear instructions on what to do, and was very helpful with any problem.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. You'll really learn a lot and every career requires that you be able to speech in frotn of people.
