Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Excellent teacher and I was fully prepared for the AP exam. Passed with a 4.

    Course highlights:

In depth conversations about real world applications. It wasn't just a class that you memorized things for, you actually learned.

    Advice for students:

You get out what you put in! Tests are mostly on lectures & notes. Reading the book is just supplemental.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As an uprising biology major, I strongly suggest taking this course at SCA. Mrs. Carlton knows exactly what she is talking about and her notes will be an incredible help when you reach college (especially for other bio majors).

    Course highlights:

Honors Biology with Mrs. Clardy was basically a stepping stone for this course. The entire first semester was nothing but review that went into greater detail. The second semester was more difficult because of all the new information but at the same time I learned so much more than I expected to. Not only that, but you also take a trip to Wofford to perform a legitimate lab with their biology professor. This was a big help for the seniors who were able to get a taste of what a college setting will feel like.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Highlight everything that is important. Doing this as she is teaching and taking extra notes as well will be extremely helpful for her tests. Review all the notes you have gone over every day. Eventually, you will have a test almost every week and reviewing even just a little while every day will do wonders when the time comes to actually study for the test. You will already be familiar with all the information and won't have to study near as long as if you had not been reviewing at all.
