    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Nursing is a difficult field to enter. Keep this in mind as you study and devote many hours to learning new material. A few tips: Study groups are essential. Keep your group small (less than 4 people), but also ensure they are just as dedicated as you are to learning. Secondly, review material in multiple different ways. Youtube, Khan academy, index cards, peers. Use every resource to relearn and review material. Lastly, teaching material means understanding material. Teach your peers, friends, yourself. If you can verbally explain the material without reference then it is ensured you understand it.

    Course highlights:

Nursing foundation, body systems, and medication administration. This course also teaches teamwork, importance of the nursing role, and being accountable for your actions as a healthcare provider.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your time to know the basics inside in out, it will beneift you greatly in the later courses. There is no such thing as overstudying! You can also use instructors as resources, if the instructor over that section isn't making sense, then go to another one after class for assistance, Use every resource given to you to ensure you are very familiar with the content.
