    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher is knowledgeable in the course and he enjoys what he is teaching. The content of the course is fun and interesting to learn, and it is available for college credit at UCCS. The class is project based, and there is not usually homework.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to calculate the amount of work involved in simple machines. You work with gears, pulley systems and sockets. You learn how to calculate the work involved with hydraulics. You also learn how to calculate truss forces.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would make sure you take notes and if you are having trouble with the formulas talk to the teacher on your own time. Not only do your questions show him that you were paying attention and are struggling, but also it shows that you are responsible and are trying to succeed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because of the teacher. He's a witty and charismatic teacher with a deep love for teaching and bettering his students.

    Course highlights:

We did tons of group projects and I got to meet some amazing students. We also got to learn about different types of engineering by going into a deep exploration of each type of engineering.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say make sure you have good time management. The class isn't particularly hard but sometimes there are multiple projects going at the same time. The class truly teaches you how to think outside the box and then redesign the box to fit your needs.
