    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students out there who aspire to go into any type of science field. Although this course is difficult, it teaches you that everything you have taken before this are actually related believe it or not.

    Course highlights:

I learned from this course that in able to get better in an area, there will be challenges and you will stumble and fall. However, if you keep trying your best you will come out alive and just fine. This course is vital in understanding everything you will need to know in every course after this.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise future pre-calculus students to come in expecting the course to expect a lot out of them. They should be willing to accept new concepts, and remember all of the previous concepts they have been taught.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course provides critical foundations. I could not have moved on to Calculus I and II without the knowledge I gained here. The professor was engaging and made it his goal to prepare us for further progression in the field of mathematics.

    Course highlights:

Trigonometry was huge. The highlight of this course was probably how it took my basic knowledge of the trig functions to a much deeper level. The identities that I learned were EXTREMELY helpful in later classes. Graphing was also a huge part. There was almost nothing that we didn't graph, and though I've never liked graphing, it helped me to improve so much.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flash cards of all of the formulas, identities and concepts and review them consistently. Flash cards got me through this class and really cemented the concepts into my mind.
