    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Ms. Parra is very organized and detail oriented. She ensures that you understand the material she teaches before she moves on and she has effective methods of doing so, such as visual power points and interactive activities. Also, her grading style is fast and challenging especially for essays, which allows you to grow as a writer.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course was the interactive notebook she had us do. The interactive notebook was three subjects, one for handouts/class notes, one for writing (quick writes) and one for new vocabulary notes. She had a certain method of writing in our notebook, which allowed us to learn how to be neat and organized. In addition, although I found some of her essays challenging, I learned how to write better poems and argumentative essays. I also learned effective ways to revise your writing based on school rubrics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Honestly, I feel that communication with Ms. Parra is key. She is an understandable teacher and will help you if you ever need the extra boost. In addition, I would keep your handouts on essays, because it will really help you in the next few years if you ever need the reference. Lastly, I suggest to thoroughly read the books and stories she assigns and annotate because it will really help you on her pop quizzes and tests.
