Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to a student who needs the guidance and support of a second family. AVID so far has helped me be a better student academically and socially by being active in my community. By being active in the community you can make great connections that can later on come in handy for your future just by doing community service.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the many connections students have made with each other over the years. You stay together in a class with students for four years you are completely bound to make long-lasting friendships and comforting love and appreciation that the peers give each other. In all reality, AVID can come to be your second family.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The only piece of advice I would give for this course is to have fun! when the class has a field trip you should go to experience college life in a way. Get involved in many activities that they offer to make time in class a much better experience. Always stay on to of your work and grades as well, do not slack off.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because of the great skills that it has taught many students. Some of which consist of improvement in organizational skills, communicating skills, public speaking skills and more. It also teaches students a lot of information about the college process.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was the community service that it requires. With community service I was able to be more involved in my community while also learning how to become a better leader.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

One piece of advice that I would give to students considering this course is to stay on top of the assignments that are given. Senior year is filled with many deadlines and meeting every deadline is very important as missing a deadline can come with drastic consequences such as losing college admission etc.
