    This class was tough.

Always do the assignments, even if they're not mandatory. It's very important to keep practicing concepts during and outside of class; it will help so much with comprehension of new topics.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a good challenge for music lovers. It is helpful and almost necessary to play an instrument before taking this course. Note names and rhythms as well as basic sight reading knowledge is required before taking it for the best results. Laguana is very good at explaining things and won't ask you to do more than necessary for homework and tests. For a beginning teacher of this course, he has an average pass rate for students on the AP exam.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to identify different ways music is arranged and I have a greater appreciation for all music. It's a lot of fun to be able to create my own music and see how easily I can compose things and It's exciting to see the rules of things and make connections to different terms when playing music.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have a passion for music and patients with yourself. Ask questions a lot. Practice on Teoria and the piano whenever you can. Take notes and be organized or it'll come back to bite you n the butt. Show up to class (duh) and try your hardest, but don't stress.
