    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Overall, the class had a lot of writing and a lot of tests. The writing was very helpful because we learned many different formats of essays we will have to write in the future and the teacher wrote comments and corrections on everthe paper. The tests were not very helpful. Many people didn't do well on them and we never once went over the tests after we took them so we could learn from our mistakes. We just moved on. However, there was a lot of team projects and I did have some fun sometimes.

    Course highlights:

The team presentations were a lot of fun, and I learned a lot about formating apa papers, cover letters, and various other essay formats.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Use your resources. There are a ton if ways you can find mistakes in your essays before you turn them in to your teacher. Let friends and family read through your final draft and look for grammar and spelling mistakes. Also there are free tools online that will search through your paper for mistakes and give you advise on how to make it better. (For example paperrater.com)

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class to most students. While the core class mechanics are present, and it allows for significant practice as to writing essays, the instructor leaves much to be desired. He often drifts off topic, and provides very little actual information during lectures.

    Course highlights:

Despite the instructor, I was able to improve many of my abilities pertaining to writing essays and letters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If taking this course, be sure to take every writing assignment extremely seriously. Also, learn how to properly take notes by writing down only important and summarized information.
