Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend students to take VU American History because it helps them with their time management skills and understand how past events have affected how the country is now formed or looked upon.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to relate events from the past to current ones or just enjoying learning from the mistakes the country has made. I learned from the course the in depth knowledge of the wars/formation of the US and how the country overcame their own problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give students would be to get started early when studying for your tests because the test topics can be tricky. Also, when you do study for tests you should write down your own paragraph because it will help you memorize the material better. Lastly, READ THE BOOK when you are told too because it will not only help with quizzes but tests too.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because its a challenge and a big step that separates a high school class from a college class. You learn that its okay to fail because that leaves room to learn. In the Vu American History class you are challenged by your reading skills and ability to take notes on your own which prepares you for college.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of this course would be noticing my own progress from the first day of class and the first test all the way to the final . I learned how to read and take notes the right way and on my own. Vu American History is an intriguing course that kept me involved and interested. Did you know, that Abraham Lincoln grew out his beard specifically because a little girl asked him to in a letter she wrote to him and even said she would vote for his election if he grew the beard out.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and don't give up when things get tough because whenever things get tough an opportunity opens up for you to reach your potential and finish strong.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Ebert challenges opinions and forces you to go outside of your comfort zone to stand up for what you believe in.

    Course highlights:

I loved our class discussions and getting to present orally to the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read for the chapter quizzes. Stay accountable for yourself, because he will not do it for you.
