    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking American Literature because it really allows you to learn about American culture through reading. This course is great for any student, as you get to have lots of discussions, write papers based on what you have learned, and also get to try many different ways of learning the material.

    Course highlights:

One of things I enjoyed the most was a period where every student read a different book pertaining to a different period of American culture. For this we had to write a response to what the work showed about the time period it was written in, and write a paper about the story itself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not feel overwhelmed by the work load, and ask for help if need be. This course offers many different ways of learning the material, so be open minded to learning the curriculum in a different way then you are used to. The assignments will be much easier to do, the more you pay attention and ask questions in class.
