    Course Overview:

This course was so fascinating! Since it was an AP class, I had it both semesters of school. We studied everything from psychologists to dreams. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the teacher would be scatter minded and it showed in some lessons, but she was a sweetheart and knowledgable about most things.

    Course highlights:

Types of parenting styles gave intel into which kind of parent kids respond to best. Also learning the parts of the brain was very useful for medical reasons. In class, we clearly went through the functions of each part.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

you don't have to be an aspiring psychologist to enjoy this course!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is probably one of the few high school level classes I have really learned something from. It is an intriguing course that is challenging yet entertaining, given its wide range of topics and influence. I would also recommend this course because our teacher was engrossed in his own lessons and you could tell he cared about what he was teaching, which made the students care about it too.

    Course highlights:

In AP Psychology, one of the most important concepts is learning about the anatomy of the human brain so that we can learn how it operates. Our class did an activity where we used modelling clay to construct each segment of the brain, all the while learning what that part's function was. We also learned about some of the basic case studies, and about famous psychologists. At the end of the year, we got to choose a psychological disorder and do a project on it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell upcoming students that they should check out the general psychology textbook from the library. Our teacher gave us the option of doing so, but I found that when I used the textbook to study for exams I did significantly better than I would have if I hadn't checked a copy out.
