This class was tough.
I strongly recommend this course to anyone interested in how this country was formed into what it is today. There are many great and interesting stories in this countries history that can keep you interested for the entire yearlong course. I loved hearing about all the different people that have made big changes in the way our government works and in the way we treat each other. It is inspiring to me and can relate to what our country is like today. Situations in the past that have been resolved are important to teach to our youth today so that we don't make the same mistakes. Also, understanding how these problems were resolved can help us find new ways to fix many of the problems we face in our country today.
This course pushed me to work harder than I had before in a high school class. I continued to work hard and push myself because I was very interested in everything I was learning. The class consisted of long lectures that a times were too long, but I stayed focused by taking notes and also because I had a great teacher. I learned a lot about how to take notes in the most proficient way and also a lot of interesting things about our country that I will always remember.

Advice for students:
While I was taking this course, I realized note taking was super important. The lectures are long and sometimes it is easy to lose focus, so taking notes helped me remember and keep tabs on what we were learning in class. Also, there are a lot of online practice tests that are easy to find for the class. These tests helped a lot when it came to the actual tests in class and also the AP test at the end of the course. I think what was most important for me in the class was that I was very interested in what we were learning.
